Ripcord by Andromatta
Ripcord is a sort of text adventure game, so it helps if you've played those before. You have 10 seconds to assure your safety somehow before the ground comes up to greet you. There are 6 different endings, some good, some bad. If you want a hint, I'll post one at the bottom of this description, so skip over that if you've played Zork or otherwise know a trope of the genre.
This is my friend Conrad's first game. I didn't have enough time this weekend to do a 48 hour game on my own, what with all the drinking I had to do, and I liked his idea, so we turned it into a jam game.
Conrad Merkle - code, words, concept
Matt Starsoneck - code, words, art, music
Andrew Montoya - terrible ideas that we didn't use ;p
(check out his game, I really like it! http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=25461)
HINT: what have you got in your pockets?

Apparently the guy doesn't know how to fly.
This is... I hesitate to use the word "perfect", but this is just so good in every aspect. Slight and silly, but great graphics, audio, humour, replayability... I think that covers it. The graphics are lovely, and the writing made me laugh out loud several times. Yeah, I love this.
SPOILERS BELOW
The funniest bits were probably the consequences of the spell and the hoverboots.
Bugs/problems: some of the endings interact in odd ways. For example, getting the pillow causes death, even if you've already cast the invincibility spell. Not a major problem, just something to think about if you guys make a post-compo version.
