Instructions

Once you enter the pyramid and place the black box or Veterum down, click any one of the letters, A, B, C, or D. They will lead you to the puzzles for the game.

Summary

I wanted to make a game people would enjoy. I learned to code by going to KidOYO programs. They have great mentors that have really helped me grow and flourish. I used the Unity Game Engine for the game - this is my third time competing. I am also 12 years old.

Theme

I used the the ancient technology in this game.

The Goal

The goal is to turn history back to the way it should be.

I can't look around 360 degrees (at least on the webgl) because the cursor doesn't lock :'( I suggest you update it, otherwise it's basically unplayable. Either that or I've done something wrong

Its uncomfortable to play it when the mouse its not locked. Regardless I tried to keep playing and did the riddle of 4 legs morning, 2 legs noon, 3 legs evening, after that the game resets and shows the big chunck of text at the beginning. Did I do something wrong?.

At least try to fix the locked cursor problem so it could be easily played.

I was confused at first by the houses, as I was immediately drawn to the city, found nothing, and then went back to the pyramid. I placed the venatori, but then even after clicking on it and trying different buttons nothing happened, so I went back outside, and had to wait through the text wall. I looked around the pyramid for signs that anything had changed, but nothing, so I went back inside. This time I clicked on the venatori and got to the riddle, but I put the wrong answer in, and had to wait through the text wall again. After that I couldn't figure out what to do next. I recommend making the text not take up the entire screen as this makes it daunting to read. Also, every time you fail, or go outside, you have to look at the intro text, you should make the text go away on a button press, not a timer. The waiting just kills the game.

However I love the way you incorporated the theme :)

Nice effort. This is very impressive work for a 12 year old. Keep at it!

Making the text disappear and accessing the puzzles by clicking the letters is awkward. Other than that, well done.

I didn't really understand the game. At first I walked towards the many houses but there was nothing to be found there. Then I found out I could access the pyramid behind me at the beginning. I spawned the cube inside the pyramid but couldn't really get out? When I touched the door the text popped up and spawned me back into the pyramid chamber.

I really wanted to finish the game, but I couldn't really figure out how to go on. Perhaps there are some bugs you should fix?

Congrats!! your third ludum and you have lvl 12 :)

It would be nice to guide the player a little bit (navigation) at the beginning because it's a bit confusing.

Nice work - A well thought out story and the art was pretty good.

I had some of the issues mentioned above and struggled to complete your game. But I enjoyed what I played, well done

I like the description of your game, fits perfectly the theme of the jam and makes want to know what it is about, but I can't seem to know how to play it :( I enter this room and I place a black box but don't know what to do. Maybe would be good if you put some simple instructions of how to play it.
