Block Breaker by Brodenino

[raw]
made by Brodenino for LD27 (COMPO)
Hi!. A very late morning to everyone (or well, at least here). I have been wanting to join the 48 hours compo for a while, so this is my first Ludum Dare! Though, it has been a short adventure for me, since I never was around when the compo begun. I had a couple of friends joining, and now, the final day, they encouraged me to actually join, even though I had no idea what to make. I still had plenty of fun creating my entry. For the 4 hours I crunched through this, this evening, here's the result!

Your mission is to guide a ball on a surface by rotating the world using your mouse. When the ball crosses a block, its paint will recolor the block, thus leaving a trail after itself. Every 10 seconds, these blocks will break and vanish, making the player grid harder to navigate. Paint as many blocks as you can, and achieve victory by painting all of them. If you fall off the grid, you'll have to restart and try again.

Fun idea, however the controls are kind of hard I felt like you had to tip the ball really far in any direction to get it to start going, I also got stuck on the top of the map a bunch. :( Anyways the idea is cool just work a lil on the controls.

I can't rotate the board as I want. If my mouse goes out of the window the board won't continue to rotate so I can't make the ball reach some areas.

Idea is good.

Super impressive for just four hours of work! The painting+breaking mechanic feels very satisfying!
The steering is a little weird, but I felt that after you had played a couple of round your brain re-calibrated to it in some way. It's a fun little game, consider to continue working on this!

Neat little idea, was expecting a boring puzzler and was pleasantly surprise. This would make a great mobile game with accelerometer goodness
