IGEO by Thought Reactor

[raw]
made by Thought Reactor for LD35 (JAM)
A very simple puzzle game with a unique visual style. A homage to Pegs by Detached Solutions. The goal is to eliminate all the blocks by moving them into one another in various ways. 6 Levels to complete, some with many solutions.

WASD/Arrows to Move & Select Blocks
SPACE/Left Click to select a Block
R to Reset the Level if you get Stuck
Escape will return you to the main menu; if you hit play game you'll go back to the last level you played (so long as you don't exit the game)

There is no sound! I ran out of time for that and visual FX...

Enjoy!

**For those who are having difficulty with the controls - my apologies. On the Windows and OSX versions of the game you can go to the 'Input' tab in the Intro window and swap your key bindings there. Your Horizontal (+) and (-) should be remapped to W & S/Up & Down. Your Vertical (+) and (-) should be mapped to A & D/Left & Right, respectively.**

I have an inverted brain so I guess I got used to the controls during development!

Shapeshifting in more ways than one! Good job! Clever :)

The mechanics work, and while it might not be for me I think its neat, two minor nitpicks, 1. the movement felt a bit stilted, I'd prefer to be able to move more quickly.
2. the difficulty jump in level I think 5-6 was a bit too much for me, so many shapes I just felt overwhelmed, but thats understandable. Keep on jammin'!

Great game! Loved the look of it!

Moving around was confusing at first but I quickly got used to it. The only thing that bugged me was that my player moved too slow. Otherwise solving the puzzles was a lot of fun!

Controls are a little weird because of the angle you view it at, but other than that, very interesting concept

The concept of the mechanics is great but the controls made me lose my temper. Still a nice entry!

The controls were very difficult with the isometric display style.

Great job. Loved the idea of it. I agree moving was a bit clunky but otherwise everything was pretty good.

Nice, the controls felt a little odd to me but well done.

Nice! Some things that I would like is faster movement, added sound effects and also I find this half-tilted perspective annoying when your directional keys are up,down, right, left. Helps some to tilt your keyboard 45°

I am not a huge fan of puzzle games, but I really like the way you used these simple mechanics in creative ways to create a set of very varied levels.
The game also looks really cool and feels quite polished.

nice geometric visuals, I think the movement would feel better if it had less of a animation pause on it :) Love the isometric presentation though!

The controls felt a little strange to me, but once I figured it out - great puzzle game. A little polish, and this could be really cool.

The orientation of the controls was fine for me, just it was a bit slow moving. Neat puzzle ideas though.

Very nice... Like how it looked and played. Only issue is the controls. I found it very difficult to remember which way the block was going to move when I pressed a button, which meant that I very often pushed two blocks together without meaning to!

Simple concept, well executed. Controls are a bit sluggish, but very good overall.

Web version was a bit janky, and please provide a subfolder in your archive rather than having everything in the root :)

Game was ok. would have liked sounds. Really didn't love the controls :( Graphics were nice, if simple.

Really like the way it looks, and the way different shapes combine makes the puzzles fun.

That said, wasn't a fan of the level design. I felt like level 3 had too many blocks too soon and I was frustrated when I fell down the hidden hole at the bottom of the screen!

beat it! puzzles were pretty good, there were some clever set ups.

controls took a bit getting used to, I had to rotate the arrow keys in my mind haha. could be cool as a touch game?
