There was a long pause on the start screen and so I thought the game had crashed (may be my slow-ass computer). After that though, good times! Great job with this it was fun to play :)

That was pretty fun, but it got boring because of the waves being far too long and because I didn't really have a choice of the towers to build. I would prefer to have a gold resource and a price for each tower.

sam1373 - I totally agree, there was supposed to be stuff you could do during the waves using the goldtower after level 3 but, 48 hours wasn't as long as I thought =C

It takes way to long until the round is over! I gave up when I saw "units left 1000". Other than that it's a nice little tower defense game with some minor bugs :)

The waves are too long, you spend more time waiting than playing. I liked the click-to-heal mechanic though.
But the game seems to be missing difficulty - is it even possible to lose?

Nice game! I had fun playing! The sounds become a little monotonous, but overall it was a fun little game!

The rounds are really long. It turns the sounds into a bit of an aural assault.
I'll be interested to see where you take this post-compo.

For the record, I'm in the #LDTO camp ;)

Nice game. I really liked how you used the 10 seconds. Click the towers to repair them was smart- The downside was (at least for me) it was a bit too easy, and the waves were a bit too long towards the end, so I rarely had to repair my towers much. A greater variety of towers, and maybe the ability to decide which ones to build instead.
But all in all I good game, personally I love TD games :P - And I really think your idea with the Theme was great!

Best on your kind feedback, first post comp version is uploaded. This is mostly balancing and bug fixes. There is now a -sharp- spike in intensity post level 3, and it is very possible to lose now.

What's the point of the 10 second preparation if you can pause and still place towers ?

The idea is pretty good overally although it would be nice if you could skip to the next wave when you are done building. And the timer stops at -1 :)

Game is pretty cool but there are a few bugs like towers shooting in the wrong direction. Also, the noise is kind of annoying. Finally, I think the game could be a bit more challenging and more strategy should be involved. Anyways, good luck to you, fellow tower defense creator.

Thanks for the feedback SuperHamster. I'll tell you a secret, the firing in the wrong direction is the tower shooting at the object pool of enemies =D It's a bug, but at least it's one I don't feel too bad about. The towers realize there is a huge pile of immobile enemies just off screen and they try to kill them!

Cool idea. I liked how the forest opened up. A good tower defense game is very hard to create in 48 hours. At first it was fun but after a few rounds the waves seemed to take a very long time.

It's... a tower defence game! Kind of basic, and you don't really do much other than placing your towers, but it was still viscerally satisfying to see the skeletons and demons getting mowed down. The intro animation is very attractive.

i had a blast with this one, but I have a thing for defense games. Nice balance and scaling!
