Iceberg Explorer by kddekadenz
You're an explorer on an iceberg who wants to become famous by discovering things.
"I arrived at the small iceberg I want to explore. The chance to find something here is minimal, but I'm optimistic. Hopefully I'll become a famous explorer and make my mummy proud."
Further instructions can be found ingame.
The game is avaible for both Windows and Linux (32bit & 64bit).
Windows: Double-click on 'Iceberg_Explorer_Windows.bat' to start the game
Linux: Run 'Iceberg_Explorer_Linux.sh' to start the game
Side notes:
- The maximal fame you can get without cheating is 570.
- There is a potato hidden somewhere on the iceberg.
- Even though there were a lot of technical issues in the past, the game should run now without problems, except you have weaksauce hardware.
Testing machine had 4GB Ram, 2 x 2Ghz and an Intel graphics chip.
- The game includes 2 sounds.

Lamiae will attempt to compile one by executing the following command.
make -C src -f Makefile install
Please make sure the SDL, SDL_image, and SDL_mixer, and zlib *Development* libraries are installed.
Press Enter to proceed or Ctrl-C to abort.
make: *** src: No such file or directory. Stop.

Would you be so kind and share the 64bit binary then?
Too bad, I was really curious to see Sauerbraten-Engine(?) in action! Maybe it works the next days...
It's still in Alpha state. I think the game crashed, because some shaders couldn't be loaded properly D:
Argh, I hate it when such things happen. I'll contact the developer of the engine for help and come back to you.

"/home/username/Downloads/bin_unix/lamiae64.bin" does not exist and the program is unable to launch as a result.
This is typically due to there not being an available build for your system.
If you believe this is in error, try some combination of the --force flags or if not,
make sure that you have the sdl, sdl-image, sdl-mixer, and zlib DEVELOPMENT libraries installed.
Then execute "make -C /home/username/Downloads/src install" before trying this script again.
Now run the script again.
Got to respect that, but alas, few people will be able to play.

Maybe because of the Intel drivers / chip...
But nonetheless, well done! Nice game!
PS: for people using a 64bit Linux, you need to make bin_unix/lamiae64.bin executable in order to start the game.
I couldn't find that many things. I don't know how many things even existed for me to find. There seemed to be a huge clusters of indicators on the minimap which I couldn't find anything at. I tried looking for some sort of cave entrance, but found nothing. I guess I must have been missing something.
Still, the game ran perfectly well for me on Linux (32 bit). No issues whatsoever. Kudos for providing a dedicated Linux build.
The download site was HORRIBLE tho. It took forever to download the game. :(
... No pun intended.
@tiffi: One isn't an object but reaching a certain point.
Overall the game looks good and it is a nice piece of tech.
This one had a GREAT mood. It was just too short.
I also think the silence was good.
Nice way to remind me too! Now I have an award :)
"Lamiae fatal error: Large texture support is required!"
Doesn't seem to point to a file I'm missing, so I don't know what to do.
PS: I did fall under the world as I exited the hot springs, but I just swam around for a while and managed to pop back up near the lifeboat, wasn't too bad. Was rather enjoyable actually, felt like warm bath water.
Also, by the way -- can you give my game another shot? I don't know what was up with it for you, but we haven't seen that problem in a while and it it's preventing people from playing it I'd like to make sure we get it right :)
