NiceAlexanderAS
“La broza” is in spanish. “broza” means a bunch of leaves, sticks, plants and other related organic material that is accumulate in one area.

Theme: It was about ancient technology left behind by humans to restore the planet to its original natural state.

..:: Basic Idea ::..

Strategy game
Collect all the trash on the map using your robot worker drons and defend them with robot warrior drons against wild mutants that are multiplying time to time. You win if you clean 80% of the trash. You lose if the mutants kill all of your workers and you don't have enough resources to make another one.

..:: Instructions ::..

The instructions are inside the game but here is a copy (:

(1) Selecting and moving: Left-click to select a unit. To select multiple units
hold "left-click" and move the mouse to form a green selection square.
Any unit inside the selection square is going to be selected.
Use the WASD keys to move on the map.
(2) Command a selected unit:
* Worker Drone: "Right-click" to the trash on the ground
and he will automatically collect the trash.
* Warrior Drone: The Warrior Drone automatically attacks
the closest enemy but he is not going to move. You move
the drone by "right-click" to a location.
(3) How to win?: 80% of the trash is gone. Little blue icons show your
progress.
(4) How to lose?: Mutants destroyed all your workers and you don't have
resources to make more.
(5) Resources: Little yellow icons indicate how many drones can you create. This icons are call "Tickets".
You get Tickets by collecting trash. The amount of trash for a ticket is hidden.
(6) Create a Unit: There are 2 yellow buttons on the bottom-right of the screen, one to build
a warrior and one to build a worker You need 1 "Ticket". They spawn in the main building.
(7) The buildings are decorations.
(8) Mutants spawn on big mutant buildings, you can destroy them.

..:: Requirements and instalation ::..

Linux
     You need SDL2 … thats it I guess
     Extract EVERYTHING from the zip
     Run the binary file: LaBroza

Windows
     Extract EVERYTHING from the zip
     Run: LaBroza.exe

..:: Tools and libraries used ::..

- Programing language: C++
- Library: SDL2, SDL2_Image, SDL2_Mixer
- Editor: Atom
- Compiler: g++
- Audio: Audacity
- Images: GIMP
- Recorder: SimpleScreenRecorder (that is the name)

..:: Notes ::..

- This is not a finish product, the game has a lot of bugs, missing sounds and needs more gameplay experience (i guess good enough for the moment).

- I plan to continue this game, the idea is really good for me. The main idea is bigger than this. The problem was that i got stuck programming basic stuff and i had to "cut" the game to make it playable.

Version of this game: Pre-pre-pre-Alpha

- Bugs:
     * Units can merge, there is no unit collision or alignment.
     * A warrior can shoot in different directions
     * If you select a bunch of mixed units, there is no way to separate them. (which is uncomfortable)
     * Weird AI

La Broza"}
