ColorShift by Corinator

[raw]
made by Corinator for LD35 (JAM)
ColorShift is a fast paced bullet hell, in which you can shapeshift into different ships for unique weapons to match and oppose your enemies. This game is very difficult and takes practice and possibly a well-built computer to get good at. Be sure to read the instructions on the game page. I know it's a bad engine, but it's what I have to work with. Hope you enjoy!

Orange is opposite of Blue.
Red is opposite of Green.
Bullets of the same color will not harm a ship.
Bullets of the opposite color deal extra damage to a ship.
A shield will block incoming bullets.
A shield of an opposite color will absorb the bullet, replenishing ammunition for the bullet's color.
A shield will push an enemy back, and will damage the enemy if it is the opposite color.
Think fast and shapeshift logically to get the highest score possible.

As you say, it is quite hard to play. I think the idea is quite nice and fun. Sadly, Scratch doesn't give you much more power. You should try to port it to another engine and work on that idea.

It's a fun and challenging little game. It lags quite a bit for me, but nonetheless pretty enjoyable. I would have liked a bit more ammo, though. Excellent music, by the way.

it looks great and promising but unfortunately it lagged too much to be played for me. But the music was nice and the art was good as well.

Like the others said: It's quite laggy, which is too bad cause it might have been a fun game to play especially with the cool music ;)

It would be a good exercise to recreate the game in some other program. Try GameMaker or Unity ;)

I found it hard to play. I was having trouble differentiating the player from the environment.

Hey this was pretty fun! I really enjoyed the mechanics and gameplay! And the sounds and music were great! Though, there was a great deal of lag for me when shifting to other ships, but besides that, this was a great game to play. Good work :)

Very chaotic and challenging! loved it! (despite the extreme performance issues)
