Very nice game! Feels great on the controls and the strategy aspect of placing the turrets could be very fun to develop further

really nice sound design!
i love the weapon customization system, sucks that the game gets really easy when you can dispatch enemies in two shotgun shots. trying to manage overheating is interesting, maybe you should set up something so that you have to interact with the music to keep from overheating

Fantastic Game. The graphics, the audio were both amazing, I liked the customization. My only suggesstion would be to have harder enemies as the waves go on or come out faster. I understand though and you still did a great job

Excellent graphics and effects, and the customization was pretty cool too. If the bullets were slower and you had more enemy types, this could turn into a rather splendid bullet hell game.

Pretty good experience. Could have been built up a bit. And I did find a weakness in the enemy design which allowed me to rack up cash pretty quickly. Good job overall! =)

I love the gatling gun mechanic, and how you can upgrade it! I had fun and it was a nice start, but a little lacking on content. Also, I found an exploit where you can fly directly under them and they can't shoot you. Also, I don't think the mouse is the best thing to use for moving the ship around, a little too fast. But yeah, this was definitely an innovative spin (pun intended) on the shoot 'em up genre.

Great new mechanic! I can see a lot of different things you can do with this idea of revving a selection of weapons up in a circle around you. Plus: nice sounds and music, and the graphics weren't bad either!

So! Criticisms.

The overheating mechanic felt nice, but I never really found myself overheating.

It got really easy once I realized that you can avoid pretty much all damage by hiding inside the first arc of the enemy's attack. This happened around the same time I got two extra rifles, leading me to get a ton of money in a run that felt like it would never end. Progression and different enemy varieties would've helped a lot. Buuuut that's more of a we-didn't-have-much-time thing, making this a really strong concept for a more fleshed-out release.

In any case, it was fun for a minute there, which is all you can really expect from Ludum Dare games. Good job!

The gameplay was tricky at first, giving me a challenge to even defeat a single enemy, but then I was getting stronger and enemies weren't (no difficulty progression), so in the end (having 7x shotgun and 1x rifle) I defeated over 50 enemies with ease until bore-quitting.

I think this game really needs some more variety when it comes to both enemies (different shooting patterns and behaviour etc.) and player upgrades (health, shield, overheat, different kinds of weapons; maybe player could just have a storage of weapons and pick them to customize the weapon for specific purpose). Alternately, you could turn the endless survival into a game with some sort of campaign, levels introducing new enemies etc. which would then feature endless survival, or something; it seems to be a good model.

Oh, also, the cash collection sound was jarringly loud compared to the rest.

Looks like a good start, but desperately needs more variety.
