Soul Catcher by Draakhex2

[raw]
made by Draakhex2 for LD36 (JAM)
*The objective is to survive 30 turns in story mode*

A friend of yours bought a weird device off internet, it is apparently an ancient technology used to communicate with dead people; and he challenges you to use it.

Will you survive and win the challenge?

Seems interesting, not sure what puzzles/gameplay there is beyond the initial idea.

pretty neat i managed to find out the name and cause of death but got murdered after asking about the chair they became fixated on. wasnt sure how to help them move on since all they said was want to pass on without offering any insight.

It seemed a little slow to me. I wasn't trying to skip through but I can also read relatively quickly. The story was good, although pretty straight forward with stating the theme. Thanks for the game and keep it up!

Interesting concept. The flickering of the lights also makes the floor move, which is interesting. Not sure the entire object since the Autofill does everything for me?

Interesting idea, but seems like the only thing you can really do is press the autofill until you get a question you haven't asked, and then hope you don't die when you ask that question. Also it was hard to see the letters on the ouija board, and some of the english was a bit off. I think this could make a fun game with a few improvements though!

interesting idea indeed, i wonder if theres lost condition in this
i dig the hand drawn art style and 3d ingame graphics, sadly theres not much option of conversation, and most of the time it will not respond if i type it manually

but for an 48 hours jam, this is very solid :D

This was an interesting game. I used a lot of Autofill to ask questions, and got a lot of answers.

Much better graphics than I can do in a jam game.
