made by thomasklokosch for LD26 (JAM)
Explore the dungeon, kill orcs, avoid steaming lava pits, defeat the evil sorcerer and unlock the door that leads to the kidnapped princess, a complete dungeon crawler experience. All of that with just two keys.

This is my first LD entry, it's writte entirely in Javascript/Coffeescript and CSS3/SASS, in a build environment based on Middleman a static ruby page generation tool. Took me about 12 hours.

Why is on one talking about the giraffe in the room? This is a great game I really like the movement concept.

neat concept, though I would have liked to have seen something more from the orcs. it'd be cool if they moved around or something. I like the movement idea. Nice job

Cool! A new twist on an old classic. Sometimes, I could keep moving even when the textboxts popped up (for example, after defeating an orc.) I'm not sure if that's intentional or not.

I liked the mechanic. Not really a fan of pop up text stopping the action though. This mechanic could be used in other type of games. Make the enemies here move randomly, add some pickups like health, put some stats on screen, and ditch the popup delays and you could have a real tight little action game.

This game should win on the theme.

Short and a little repetitive but great quest. Funny message leaved by the curious giraffe

Very simplistic game, that fits the theme right. Some more levels would have been nice (maybe even a random level generation, to increase replayability ;) ). It bothered me, that I cannot close the messages with the keyboard but had to move my hand to my mouse (yes, I'm lazy ;) ). I think if it was a bit more fleshed out (and a bit faster), it could be a great casual game.

Extraordinary good execution of the theme! Some more levels and the ability to close the messages with the keyboard would make it even better.

With a little more polishing here and there this would be a awesome casual game. Definitely worth developing further imho.
