The sounds are really well done, and I think the game is quite a fun challenge. It would be nice if there were save points, though, as even though I tend to die within a minute or two it can be rather dull to replay from the start.\r<br\/>—StarFahx"},{"author_name":"kyyninen","author_uid":"21389","time":"Aug 30, 2016 @ 11:06am","epoch":1472554860,"text":"Props for having sound effects and atmosphere track! Otherwise this was pretty frustrating. I had no idea how large player character's hitbox was and kept hitting brambles and spikes even when making a simple jump. It was a fun mechanic with the stopping of time, but the levels didn't have a lot of interesting obstacles to use it with.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Maybe there are different artifacts and obstacles later on, but I couldn't really get far. Overall, the gameplay was pretty interesting. The time mechanic was pretty unique, though I do think it could have a longer use time (or maybe I was just bad at getting the things timed just right). Orbiting that star is a strange planet that was long suspected to be able to harbor life. Now that we can get firsthand confirmation on these claims, many explorers have made their way to the planet. What they found might change what we know of the history of life forever. The planet's small habitable band is covered with ruins of an ancient species that must have died out long before humans ever set foot there. As one of these explorers, it falls to you to recover what remnants of ancient technology you might find in the ruins. But beware, even after all this time, traps might still be active and sprung to end an explorer's life.\r\n\r\n--------------------------------------------\r\n\r\nControls:\r\na and d: lateral movement\r\nleft and right arrow: alternatives for lateral movement\r\nspacebar: jump\r\nq: activate artifact\r\nv: alternative for activate artifact\r\nx: show menu when currently not visible\r\ny: close active menu\r\n\r\n--------------------------------------------\r\n\r\nUnfortunately there are a few bugs and kinks that we couldn't fix in time. Also, I freely admit, the theme is only thinly wrapped around a standard, somewhat lackluster, platformer. Still, it's all about the journey, not the destination, right?\r\n\r\nImportant note: We fixed one bug after the deadline. Under the rules I think this is justified, even if it wasn't quite a game-breaking bug, but merely hid a minor feature from the player. Still, your opinion may differ.","title":"The Ruins of Proxima Centauri B"}
