Somso by Niavlys
IMPORTANT : There *is* audio, but only with Chrome or Chromium! See below.
In order for this game to fit the theme "You Are The Villain", please just picture yourself (the red sphere) as a very bad person, whereas your enemies are the heroes that represent the goodness, the good and the great, otherwise nothing will really make you feel like a "villain" more than in any other game.
It's ok, you can rate 0 on "Theme". I made this game in less than 20 hours, after starting over three times. I wasn't satisfied with my previous ideas, this one seemed at least interesting to me.
I know this isn't finished. The only end is when you get tired of the FPS getting lower and lower as you complete phases. There isn't any real challenge either, as you have infinite "lives." I failed at adding goats as well, they may replace the blue balls in the post-compo version though.
You will have to play with Chrome or Chromium in order for the audio to be working, because other browsers don't support the Web Audio API yet. I would greatly appreciate it if you don't rate 0 in Audio just because you don't hear any audio. The sound is important for other categories as well, so I thank you very much if you make an effort to play in Chrome (assumimg you're not a regular user, that's cool if you are). :)
Anyway, please play, rate and comment my game, and I will check and rate and comment yours! Thanks :)
PS: Please don't look at the code too much. Some parts really are awful programming.
-- 2012-12-19: Fixed a bug where the ball would get stuck when starting too close from the border. Fixed preloading of images as well. (Still lagging under Firefox)

Those mechanics are really funny, I can't even understand how it works ^^
The louder sounds work great.
I love the weird gameplay. My favorite combo is to start by moving the mouse slowly to have a great control, and as the time is running out I increase the speed of the cursor, trying to control that thing :)
@Pierrec : Thanks! The mechanics are conceptually very simple, but very hard to master, it seems! :)
@nitramgc : Glad you liked the audio and gameplay. I hope I won't get too many bad ratings in Audio because it can't be heard in Firefox (or other browsers)...
Thanks for your playing tips!
I got to phase 9 by just swinging mouse around at random, then (after 10-12 tries) I wasn't able to get past phase 9.
Probably it was because I didn't understand how the ball movement actually worked.
@mrspeaker : It's meant to be incontrollable! If it were too easy you would get to level 20 without any effort and your computer would crash.
It's a little hard to master the ball movements, but still fun.
Btw, I temporarily voted n/a for audio, 'cause I can't play with sound on atm. But I'll definitely play again tonight and re-vote ;)
Fantastic.
Neat little physics toy here, hard to see a game in it yet, but it just needs some goals or scoring added.
