Batty Bacteria! by McThreepwood
This is the first time I've participated in Ludum Dare and I loved it.
I worked on this alone and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I'm really happy that I did it. Hopefully I'll do even better next time :)
In any case, in my game you play as bacteria trying to infect a body, while dodging antibodies who patrol the area.

Game-design wise, I would have suggested to make death only make the player go back to the spawn with 0 energy: not only it would make the game less frustrating, but it gives an actual reason for the player to go and create a few clones every once and a while. Otherwise it's clearly better to keep the energy until you have enough of it to create all the clones.
Another thing that would have been cool is to make the clone act as walls for the player. It would add a cool twist to the gameplay I think!
I actually planned to add the ability to create clone-walls that protect you, but I ran out of time :)
Really cool game! I think it has a lot of potential - Infecting stuff is awesome!
Art-wise, I think it would be nice to make the board look like a body part, that way you could start from the foot or something, and work your way up, infecting the whole body as you go :)
Hope to see you here next time!
