The mood and atmosphere created by the slow pace and the music puts you in a trance. This was a very refreshing experience. Thanks for suggesting it in the chat! The virus sometimes doesn't act as a full group, and a large chunk becomes unresponsive to the mouse until after a bunch of them get wiped out.
