ANTIGRAVITY by eeely

[raw]
made by eeely for LD35 (JAM)
A cryptic quest to defeat the Agents of Gravity.

Made in Ren'Py.

Controls:
Mouse
(or Arrows + Enter)

Audio judging turned off because the game has no audio, sorry.

Tutorial is a little confusing, sorry :P

I can be reached at paul-newman-void-villain.tumblr.com. This is my first Ren'Py game! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Source code should be included in the folder, as it's a Ren'Py game.

(Post-LD, I will probably expand/extend this game to about twice its current length. (And add audio.))

I think I like this game, it's quite avant-garde

The idea of combat via dialogue is interesting, but I'm not sure if it's framed in the best way. That the tutorial combat somehow makes less sense than the combat that follows doesn't help.

The graphical effects are nice; you managed to convey different personalities from just basic silhouette well (though how the eyes and mouths are done feels out of place).

A good first shot, though!

Very wierd. I like it, even if I don't always know what I'm doing. It feels different and interesting, I'd love to see this concept expanded upon.

This is a really neat idea of a game, though picking no for the answer pretty much got me through most the prompts.

I think the art style is very interesting and the premise was interesting and innovative, but the ideas never seemed to come together. There were several moments where the game was trying to explain to me what the premise was, but I don't feel like I understood it.

I definitely like that it tried to do something different, though, and would love seeing this idea developed a little further.

Visual effects are nicely done. It didn't have any music though, right? I think that could have enhanced this game a lot.

Troll simulator. Goal appears to be to annoy the enemy until they leave haha.

I liked the concept of having text based battles, but I couldn't figure out the game.

Nice use of fractals for the background visuals! :) The characters, for me, looks like they've popped out of Radiohead's "Pyramid Song" video. Nice one! :)

The story is...weird, but in a good way. :) The way you wrote the dialogue, together with the visual style, gives the game that surreal feeling that's pretty nice.

Great one! :)

Very interesting idea, but I couldn't figure out how to beat the second enemy at the house encounter, and since I had to restart from the beginning each time it became tiresome to try again rather quickly.

Made sure to save very, VERY often in this game. Had a lot of fun. Has a nice pacing, and a strange sense of humor. I like it!
