Asteroid Belt Shaper by Bering
Welcome to the Asteroid Belt!
=============================
You sent robots here to get rich and famous!
Shape those chaotic rocks into a big rocket,
then send it back home to get rich!
Instructions
------------
1. Click the buttons on the left to build Melters, Haulers and Builder bots.
2. Click on the asteroids chunks to mark them (red cylinders appear over them).
3. Click the Fuel Tank button on the left and place it in free space on the map (yellow cylinders will mark the construction sites).
You should then see:
* Melter bots go melt the asteroids you marked and leave cans of resources behind.
* Hauler bots will bring those cans to the construction sites (yellow cylinders)
* Builder bots will then go there and build the fuel tank (green cylinders).
Check the objectives list in the top-right of the screen to know what to build next.
You can pan and zoom the camera around (WASD, Arrows and Mouse ScrollWheel)
I ran out of time so consider it "creative mode": The ship has unlimited cargo of all types and bots are free. Build lots of bots and build all at once, it's nice to see your army of bots moving about :-)
Wishlist
--------
* Replace all that placeholder art with some voxels!
* Consume iron and copper when building bots
* Allow the player to strap the engines to asteroids and bring them home too, not just what's in storage.
* Have some physics kick in when firing the engines, forcing the player to center them properly or have the whole thing spin out of control.
POST JAM UPDATE

Thanks for playing and voting guys! Quite frankly, I'm not expecting much. I spent about 13h this week to tweak the AIs and refactor quite a lot of code. This new version is more enjoyable but it is the bare minimum, it desperately needs polish. Anyway, I learned a lot and I had so much fun, can't wait for the next LD :-)

It was nice to see what you did with the theme, though I wouldn't really call it shapeshifting. The basis of the game was enjoyable (build a spaceship with these features), but a bit more visual cues about what is what are preferred.
