If you haven't heard of this error before, it has to do with profiles in XNA; there is a Hi-Def profile (selected by default) that gives you more features but requires a DirectX 11 (I believe) device, and a "Reach" profile that works with DirectX 9 compatible devices. You can make this change to the project by right clicking on the project and selecting properties. Doing so will open the game up to more players."},{"author_name":"surpy","author_uid":"16338","time":"Dec 18, 2012 @ 5:55am","epoch":1355809800,"text":"The DirectX 9 should be with the no installer version of the game, it should be fine to play now."},{"author_name":"Verrazano","author_uid":"10665","time":"Dec 18, 2012 @ 7:23am","epoch":1355815080,"text":"I felt that the game was a pretty good idea, but it seemed you laked the time to really make it what you wanted - I'd like to see a post compo version. perhaps with some visual and sound cues for attacks and misses. also so music - I can't say much I was missing some music as well."},{"author_name":"zenmumbler","author_uid":"17143","time":"Dec 18, 2012 @ 11:31am","epoch":1355829960,"text":"Graphics and sound were mostly missing of course, but I think a better visual indication of what is going on + a better AI for the hero would have made this better. What's missing is feedback: Hit? Critical hit? Hero uses potion?\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Also, the opportunity to build an actual dungeon would be cool. Unfortunately due to me having to redo my entire AI, and to still have problems with it, until I figured out that I forgot to switch an X with an Y, I didn't get all the nice things I wanted to add to it. But it is still a game and still runable.\r\n\r\n-STORY-\r\nYou are a DM. A hero (F) walks through your part of the woods and you decide to interrupt his quest by sending your minions (E) after him. Stop him before he reaches his goal.\r\n\r\n-INSTRUCTIONS-\r\nUse your mouse to place his goal anywhere you wish, that's on the grid. Then place your minions with your mouse as well, use your Left Mouse Button to place the goal and minion. After your last minion (5 minions total) the hero will spawn, be careful, this hero has the ability to randomly kill one of your minions at the start. Use your Left Mouse Button to control your minions by pushing the arrow keys on the side of the screen. You can move your minion by clicking the move then arrow keys in which direction you wish to send it. You can attack by clicking the attack button and clicking an arrow to choose which direction. Caution, you can only do one attack per minion and when you decide to do an attack you can't move that minion until the next go. Click end turn to move to the last minion, or if you are at the last one, then it will be the hero's turn. The hero is so quick that your turn will come up very soon after clicking end turn on your last minion, watch what minion you are on.<\/p>","title":"DM's Rule"}
