It's a very charming toy\/tool, and seeing what you've made with it is pretty cool. I can't say I'm nearly as talented a tree drawer! It would be cool to see this tool expanded on to be more user friendly and perhaps support a richer simulation."},{"author_name":"Lucariatias","author_uid":"14242","time":"Aug 27, 2012 @ 3:19pm","epoch":1346080440,"text":"Every time I click the area, it flicks to the game screen and flicks back. The controls were a little tricky to pick up, and the collision detection with the mouse didn't always seem to work with me.  Also, it was more of a demo\/cool idea than a game, since there wasn't really an object.  The look is very cool - quirky and fun - and I like the fractal nature of the tree drawing - that's a non-trivial bit of programming."},{"author_name":"Jeremy1080","author_uid":"15093","time":"Aug 27, 2012 @ 3:46pm","epoch":1346082060,"text":"Loved the graphics!"},{"author_name":"ioquatix","author_uid":"14234","time":"Aug 27, 2012 @ 3:53pm","epoch":1346082480,"text":"When I load the page, it just reloads and goes back to the start... am I doing something wrong?"},{"author_name":"ButtercupSaiyan","author_uid":"4948","time":"Aug 28, 2012 @ 10:38pm","epoch":1346193180,"text":"Fraps + Audacity will record you a gameplay video. With better graphics, and perhaps some ways of setting up automated tree growth, according to rules or patterns that you law out, it could be a very soothing and beautiful game. I am not sure if they are actually issues(Each branch has a pretty big hitbox around them).  I think it is more that once you place a fork\r\nin your branch, you cannot edit that branch any more which was intentional.\r\n\r\nIf you are having trouble clicking on branches that you haven't already \"forked\" then that is a legitimate bug and it'd be good to know if that is the case, so I can fix it.\r\n\r\nI think this is a game.  I think the definition of game is more about \"playing\" than \"winning\".  At the same time I think there isn't a formal definition of what a game is, that everyone agrees with.\r\n\r\nMy definition of game is a little relaxed maybe. \r\nBut it needs to be to inclusive otherwise things that are clearly games get left out, like the Sims say.\r\nBut that is cool!\r\n\r\nLooking forward to playing all your entries!\r\n\r\nNB:\r\nThe source is attached, with a FlashDevelop .proj file.\r\nI used git throughout the competition, but I did not include the repository as it greatly increases the file size.\r\n\r\nIf anyone would like the git repository, just ask me on twitter @canyonoasis<\/p>","title":"Tree"}
