Extremely big game with tons of places to explore. Sadly I found exploring fairly boring most of the time. Still, a nice effort which I'm sure you can evolve into a deeper more interesting game. I would focus less on content and more on making the combat system shine.

as per the rules of Ludum Dare we just put up a new zip that fixes a few typos left by our level designer.;)

Cool art style, and very ambitious. There were a few things that clearly needed fixing, like the fight speed, but I know there's only so many things to polish in 72 hours. This has a huge potential.

Pretty sweet! I'm not a fan of installers for LD games, imagine the craziness if they all installed.

We really liked the movement and animation, although the attack was a bit too slow to allow us to reliably hit the enemies. We got to the second level (a huge staircase), but going right just brought us to an impassable ceiling, and going left took us off the edge of the screen, which resulted in a runtime error.

The enemies get boring fast and I don't know where to go. How do you change your weapon?

As you say, the world is massive, but everything looks quite alike so it gets boring in the end. Anyway this game is really impressive, graphics, sounds, mood, everything is perfect! I love the big weapons, the animations, and at first the game creeps me out. Yeah, the only flaw is that it gets boring after 20minutes (and 20 minutes is LONG for a LD game)
