It's a little incomplete, but it's definitely something the both of us can be proud of. We didn't get all the way done, but we did manage to get quite a lot completed! More than our last Ludum Dare, at least.

We had some more concepts and emphasis planned on the theme, but hey! We got this far. Already we're looking forward to the next Ludum Dare.

WHAT DIDN'T GET FINISHED:
- Stations you can control your DNA in (change tail, hands, etc at will)
- More morphs/evolutions
- Make it more like a roguelike
- Music imported
- Better instruction on control

This is sort of a bittersweet ending to a 3 day long struggle, but we did learn a LOT of things for next time.

Controls:

Arrows - Move
Attack - C
Grab / Drop - V
Space - Select / Jump (if you had the ability)

Story:

Eve, a special creature from a far away planet has to make an emergency landing in a strange place. While her ship calls for help, she realizes she has little means of survival without the ability to adapt. So she scans the environment - what luck! This planet has breathable air! It has sustenance!

Using her natural ability to evolve her DNA and accommodate her environment, she wanders off, hoping to research and learn something about this world.

You had me with the intro. Super cute and nicely drawn :) I felt a bit lost in the game though. It plays nicely but I didn't know what the goal would be. The bats were super hard to kill. When using a ladder sometimes you would come out directly on top of an enemy. Hard to survive that way :) Anyway, it was fun!

It's a really cool adventure-like game. I like the stylistic appearance of it, and it's cool to see a fellow lover! I think the game just needed some better presentation.

The lack of background music kind of hindered the mood, and I think if the intro was a series of pictures that changed, it would have been easier to follow/feel more natural than a long moving strip.

As said, the point of the game wasn't directly clear as well. An instructions screen (or even better yet, showing the instructions in-game) while giving some background info to the game would have been nice. That would have stopped me from asking questions like "who am I?" "what am I trying to do?". I can see these were supposed to be answered by the intro but I didn't really interpret much.

Overall very solid effort! Good job!
