I beat it on about my fifth try, with double jump. One feature I think the game needed most was a health\/time bar to see how close you are to winning. This might not be to hard to implement, but I'm just guessing.\r<br\/>The game mechanic was simple but surprisingly challenging. And I actually really liked the half-second shield idea. Also if you just stand still, you become invincible, which is a pretty neat bug :P"},{"author_name":"timtipgames","author_uid":"15341","time":"Sep 2, 2012 @ 6:03am","epoch":1346565480,"text":"I agree that it is too hard. I would have liked to gain more abilities, but I couldn't survive long enough. Movement seems to be limited to at least one boxes width right? So I can't stand between two tiles? From a very quick look at your code it seems that your collision detection will always center you in the middle of a box horizontally. That felt weird for me somehow. But maybe it's a design decision :) For 48h and not much experience, I really think its not that bad. And I personally think people underestimate how difficult it is to do the programming for a really good platformer. It get's easier if you have done it once though (that's just my experience, people might disagree)."}],"images":["ld24\/3626-3bfb152841d58ce4dcb50ca81388dcbe.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/dl.dropbox.com\/u\/17319405\/LD24.zip.zip","text":"Windows"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"29191","g_author":"3626","g_event":"LD24","g_eventkey":"12","g_subevent":"COMPO","g_urlkey":"29221","g_title":"Dr. Ludum's Evolving Androids","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"3","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/163678\/3626-shot0.png-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"The idea is very straight forward: kill the opposing android before he kills you.
