Unevolved by Pyro

[raw]
made by Pyro for LD24 (COMPO)
Once again I didn't finish my game. I didn't manage to do the main gameplay. I wanted to make it that the player when killing enemies learns they abiilities. Also when walking, jumping and attacking the player would gain new levels in this abilities. But not enough time. I had some problems with gravitation and collisions, and I spent to much time on that. But I spent last two days on making this game, so I'm submitting it.

At least I made music this time.

Could be a really cool game but, as the description says, it doesn't have a lot of gameplay.

Really liked the graphics, and your idea looks good.. Too bad isn't implemented!

By the way, the gravity is probably too slow, and don't look very realistic, sometimes the graphics of the protagonist won't turn when you go back, and i don't understand why you haven't turned the graphic of the enemy when they going backwards!

The evolution thing is cool, too bad it only happens once. I also liked the background music.

Gravity is way too low - or this the moon? ;-) Also, the main character's walking animation would look better if it was faster.

So, over all it's obviously incomplete but it's not badly done. With a higher gravity and more content this would be quite nice game, I think.

Yeah not much here, but at least saw what you were going for.

The gravity isn't properly implemented. When your player jumps, he should slow to a stop, then speed up gradually until he hits the ground again. Currently, he's jumping and falling at the same speed.

The collision detection appears to work well though and the sprites are not bad at all. Good job with what you managed to finish. If you are not a speedy programmer, try to stick with simple concepts.

Too bad there is no gameplay. I liked the graphics. The music didn't fit the theme imho. Should have invested that time in at least one level and some more evolution steps :) I also agree that gravity is too low. Hope to see a full game from you next time!

The music and graphics were nicely done. However, the game doesn't really go anywhere after the first evolution. This has some neat potential though, I think. You should keep it going and finish it up :)

you should make a post compo version with everything you wanted to implement, then this could be a cool game :)

This sounds like a great idea once completely finished...You should definantly bring this to completion eventually
