I like the idea of creating an entire civilization that could expand throughout space and encounter other players. But some are remembered.\"\r\n\r\nIn response to the 'Evolution' theme, I decided to explore the evolution of civilisations.\r\n\r\nEnter Vicariously: a game where you cannot hope to survive, but you can hope that your legacy might remain.\r\n\r\nIn Vicariously, you step through a civilisation's history, 1000 years at a time. You can build technologies, colonise other planets, attack and trade. The game is curiously multiplayer: there is only ever one board, and unless there are none left, players play as civilisations either just colonised (ie asexual reproduction) or just conquered (ie sexual reproduction).\r\n\r\nI'm hoping that this lends itself to an interesting evolution of the universe provided.\r\n\r\nMade in django\/html\/javascript\/lesscss.\r\n\r\nFinally, this was my first time to really do any real web development, so there are almost certainly going to be bugs. Please let me know if there are any and I'll do what I can to fix them going forward.<\/p>","title":"Vicariously"}
