The Darwinci Code - Adaption FTW! by wlad
Hey guys! We would like to present you our second game created for Ludum Dare Jam. Powered by Crafty, it is smooth to play and easy to enjoy ;-) Darwin is watching you.
Instructions:
To win you have to hide your white player. To do so, move it to a place in between four tiles that matches with the pattern your player consists of. If this place is not arranged yet, you can pass items to slide the traces and modify patterns. When an enemy has found its place time runs out faster. Before the round ends, make sure your pattern matches at least with two or three tiles you are placed on. After each round Darwinci eleminates one of the least hidden players. Get through the four rounds to win the game.

However, the game is so appealing, I sticked to it, until I figured I'm supposed to find the place with pattern best matching my own (to hide, I suppose - and that's what the 'hidden' meter is for). When the time goes to zero, or when any of the guys finds it's place perfectly, the guy with the least matched place looses. That's how I managed to win, anyway. :)
The music is perfect. It's a great entry, overall.
I really liked the sounds of movement and the song :)
Maybe in later levels there could be shoving? So that even if you find a place it isn't necessarily safe to stay there? Or at the least making the characters able to shift pieces around at will (with either a limited supply or by cooldown).
I don't know, it was fun but it just felt too... out of my hands. Most of the time I could match 2 and still win because the enemies didn't find their matches.
Please develop this more! I can see it becoming a really great and strategically satisfying game :)
I like the graphics and sound a lot.
