YAY! Once I got a reasonably stable mutation I was able to leave them to complete the rest of the game by themselves. Very high jumping helps for 'The Pits'.

Nice approach to the theme.
A bit hard to understand at first, but once you figure it out, it gets really interesting.

Really funny game, the voice acting helped exemplify the humor and fun.

I have no idea what I am doing, and still I managed to get to the third level, xD

Had so much fun with this and was a bit sad when I won!! Are you working on this post compo? I'd like to play more levels :D

I love this game! Definitely the best use of the theme I've seen so far. I'd like to know how the genetic trait changes are controlled when you click on a cat, but it would be too easy if it wasn't vague.

@tripleVisionGames Haha, I am sorry it's so short. I will probably do some more work on this at some point, though I have other projects I really need to finish off first, may work this game in as a sequel-y thing to the game I've been working on for a while.

Very interesting, took a minute for me to get it, but once I did, I enjoyed it :)

One of my cats is defying gravity...I'm pretty sure that's not a gene. XD Haha. This is pretty funny and innovative. A little hard to control though, I just feel like I'm doing random stuff when modifying their genes.

All my kittens were spastic - good trait for winning :P

I don't even... all I know is sometimes I get longer cats, sometimes they're green, but more often than not they explode. I don't think I'm very good at this :D

Funny game, loved the sound effects! And the exploding kittens were funny too!!! My cats were pretty mutated but I enjoyed it anyways. Good job.

Funny game. In beginning I killed all kittens, but after few minutes I understood how to stay they alive. You need more kittens in new generation. More kittens, more fun :)

@AMSmirnov The number of kittens in the next generation depends on how many you rescued in the generation before, they mate in pairs. It's a bit randomised, but I think the theoretical max population by the end is currently 32, I capped it at 10 for the Ludum Dare version, but uncapped for the Kongregate version.

Really different idea, The kits seem to spend most of their time upside down though. Was a little confusing to see what I was evolving to sometimes.
Overall well executed idea though

@tupperwarespoon If your kittens are upside down you have probably damaged the balance gene.

I loved it. I wanted more levels and I wanted an easier way to narrow in on the trait I wanted to mutate. Thanks for a good time.

Very nice. I have found that square kittens with 1 limb survive the best. Now let's apply that to real life.

The best application of the theme so far. Despite solving it, I didn't really understand how to manipulate the genes, so i just moved the mouse around :P Great work!

Hilarious audio and premise. I never did quite work out what I was doing, though...

Really, REALLY awesome game. Played it a few times, made an awesome colony of cats.
The only "bug" was on the level with the pit, the cat's head kept getting stuck in what I assume is a "block" of the level when he tried to jump and couldn't get out. I was forced to kill him. :(

Lol, cool stuff. I particularly enjoy the gibs when you try evolving a cat for too long.

Great stuff - excellent take on the theme. If you could make the graphics "cute", that would make an awesome game!

One of the winners for me, because it used the them so well. It took some time to figure out how to change the genes and I don't know yet what every gene does, but it was fun to watch and once I got it, I could make some useful mutations. The soundeffects were funny. This game I will look at the source, because I'm interested in using an physics engine with Flash as well (I think your using a physic engine).
