The controls feel great, and the procedural design was pretty good about giving me challenging wall jumps. I wish it was more difficult though. It just feels like playing the same level over and over. Aside from this, I didn't like having to reach agross to ctrl to shoot. It would have been much more comfortable to have the keys next to each other like Z and X or whatever. But yeah, basically these 2 things are the bad things, and I can't think what else is bad... I hope to see what you can pull off next Ludum Dare."},{"author_name":"goerp","author_uid":"14225","time":"Sep 11, 2012 @ 7:25pm","epoch":1347391200,"text":"Evolving levels. I haven't seen those yet. Very clever. And procedural levels that still can be completed, I'm impressed. The way you character moved was a bit weird but worked. Graphically it look finished. Very good. After about 10 levels, you sometimes feel the levels look too much the same, but also sometimes there is a surprise when a familiar corner has disappeared. The music was OK, but unlucky for you, I've played quite a few games by now and these procedural Python musics start to sound the same."},{"author_name":"csanyk","author_uid":"10473","time":"Sep 17, 2012 @ 4:35am","epoch":1347856200,"text":"Stuck in the second room:\/"}],"images":["ld24\/14404-0843fd335d695379628845e58821aeb0.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/a3w5h2mhvhqznhn\/UnstablePlanet.zip","text":"Windows"},{"url":"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/ip0r7ezhu9s4t88\/UnstablePlanet_source.zip","text":"Source"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"29568","g_author":"14404","g_event":"LD24","g_eventkey":"12","g_subevent":"COMPO","g_urlkey":"29598","g_title":"Unstable Planet","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"305","g_commentcount":"25","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/163678\/14404-shot0.png-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"That's it, my first Ludum Dare entry. I hope you'll like it.\r\nIt's a simple platformer with a little particularity: there is only one level that evolves and becomes \r\nmore complex each time you complete it.\r\n\r\nThe level is procedurally generated so each game session will feature a new one.\r\n\r\nYou need OpenAL to launch the game. You can install it with the OALinst executable or launch the nosound version of the game.\r\n\r\nControls:\r\nLeft, Right arrow:\tMove the character.\r\nSpace:\t\t\tJump.\r\nLeft Ctrl:\t\tFire.\r\n\r\nAlternatively you can use A, D, W to control the character (or the corresponding keys if you don't have a qwerty keyboard) and Left Shift to fire.<\/p>","title":"Unstable Planet"}
