I agree with AyCe.
The movement of the snake is fantastic and you can feel the improvement by the evolution! :D

Good work. Nice smooth animation, intuitive controls. Could use some sounds, and a bit of polish on the graphics.

A nice twist on the standard snake game, fitted quite well with the theme and I liked having a choice of how to evolve my worm.

This was quite addictive, I wanted to get to the next stage to see what the next evolution would be. Great job!

Nice game. The game mechanics are a bit strange because the more you play the easier it gets.

Very addictive. Strange how human motivation works :D I played it 12 minutes and 37 seconds. "Skilling" is such a nice mechanic. If you make a post-compo-version, just add sounds for eating or obstacles which hurt. Or a skilltree instead of choosing two options.

I really liked this game! But it is a bit grindy! It would have been just as fun if it took less food to level up. I completed in 13 minutes 33 seconds - by the end I just left it running on it's own - the game could have done with a bit more challenge after a few levels maybe.

Good job!

12:33, nice idea. Smooth gameplay, somewhat slow if you take the wrong perks in the beginning. Missing sound and music, besides to that solid game! well done.

I think this shows the use of evolution pretty well, because for us humans, that are on a pretty high level of evolution, life is more easy than for a bird :D

It was quite therapeutic guiding that guy around. Nice use of the theme and nice implementation overall. Not exactly challenging but relaxing enough to entertain. Nice one.

Like the movement, and the gameplay adds nicely to the snake-concept. I think more polished graphics and some sound would make this game even better.

Like some people have mentioned before, the snake movement is really fluid looking. Nice job.

Although this game is very basic, it really showcases one thing I've always believed in: allowing the player to customize his abilities always improves a game. Even something as simple as Snake!

I love that it can go through the walls - for me that is a rule that diverse the mere snake clones from the good ones

Good to see another worm game :-D Beeing able to accelerate / deaccelerate would be great. I also find it quite confusing to have "more food" appears as an evolution stage. Keep it up!

As you can see from the source code, "more food" was originally called "better eyes (sees more food)" ^^

Nice idea of classic game imporovement, but would be better game if it will have some sort of challange. Probably, some enemy or few obstacles. Cantgratulations with a first LD experience.

Very smooth, clean game. Not sure why I didn't think of it, but snake is the classic evolution game!
