Bachelor Bee alpha release by matthewdpace

[raw]
made by matthewdpace for LD24 (JAM)
The idea of the game is that as a young strapping bachelor bee, you need to spruce up your garden to attract a beautiful young queen bee.

To do this, you fly around collecting pollen from flowers, and spreading them to other flowers, which reproduce, with traits from both parents. The difference between doing well and doing great is spending the time to maximize the quality of flowers bred.

This is an alpha release, please let me know if it runs okay on your system. More to come tomorrow evening. Windows and OSX binaries are included, no installer needed. Unzip and run.

Sounds great, but unfortunately there’s an error «Bachelorbee error». I’m not into this, so I can’t tell you what’s wrong.

Just a few notes...
The stats are either in my way to enter flowers or out of view when viewing a flower's stat at the bottom-right corner.
Also, I have occasions that a new flower appearing at another flower's position.

Overall, I really like the idea. Although, it does get a bit tedious after awhile of playing.

Idea is interesting, controls are pretty meh. Also please make packaging for your next game less painful, OK? It's not cool to download full source from repository and then extract the one archive you need from it. Separate links to Win32 and Mac versions please, linked directly from LD page.
