Platformer Evolution by Rohit
You play as a rectangle that experiences the evolution of platforming games.
Use arrows to move, space to jump, left control to fire gun, up to open doors.
To run, you need the XNA redistributable here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914
To run the version compiled from the source, get the level .txt files from the binaries .zip.

This game was pretty fun, and the dialogue and gameplay were very funny! I think it was pretty well-themed and well done for a very simple game about a red box jumping around the world.
Can you explain the error you get? Did you install the XNA redistributable?
@zatyka
Yeah, I should have fixed that, especially since the character doesn't always jump when you press the button. It wouldn't even have been that hard.
1. Why no revive in the map which I died? Need to start again and again when I Play the game? Of no use.
2. Poor respond to space bar. I need to start when I die, and I always die without any fault. These 2 things exponentially make the game hard.
Respective the gameplay, you should make lifes or a safepoints at the beginning of the level. Restarting the complete game is not the best option ^^.
I would setup a collision system before Ludum Dare starts and mark it as "personal library". I think it's so basic and time consuming for doing this during a jam.
The evolution of a genre is a nice idea!
