Ant Run by fatSquirrel

[raw]
made by fatSquirrel for LD23 (COMPO)
You are the ant, only knowing this tiny section of the world, bringing back the food needed for move night is vital!

W, Up arrow - moves forward
A, Left arrow - strafes left
D, Right arrow = strafes right
Space - jump

Notes: You will be immune to damage for 2 seconds after being hit and you cannot move backwards, because ants only go forward...and strafe.

Good job - a pretty unique style of game! My game was also about ants :)

Nice work using limited assets! I think perhaps it might be better if the balls were a bit slower, right now they can feel random.

Nice entry here.
The music start reminded me of something else? Star Trek TNG opening maybe?

Thank you all for the awesome comments. Sorry about the linux support, I tried making a flash.swf, but the terrain feature isn't support.

Fun little game. Having water droplets be lethal balls of death is awesome! Be cool if you had other dangers beside the water, such as hornets, beetles or even a lawnmower!

I enjoyed running through this, would have liked to have full FPS controls with mouse look.. easy to get stuck where being able to turn would solve easily. Good entry!

That was quite fun! I beat it :) It was a good difficulty and took a bit of effort to dodge the balls.

Overall, nice game. I enjoyed it :)

Simple but fun. My only real complaint about this is that the balls can seem a bit random and hard to predict. Great concept!

Great game! It would be nice if the camera and the player rotate as the player turns sideways

Really cool idea but I would have liked to have more control over how the ant moves.

Visuals were really good! And enjoyed the gameplay. I don't think the music matched the action of the falling spheres, tough. Mouse control like and FPS would've been good too! Keep up the good work!

Nice mood and music! The gameplay could be quite exciting at times, there's a nice feeling of terror when the huge drops came towards you.

Interesting game, didnt like that you couldnt rotate and move more freely however, but was still a good challenge.

It's a nice idea, I really felt like an ant running away from rain. I liked it! Moody music, but very annoying sounds.
