Few points though, mainly about controls:\r
Moving up/down was really hit and miss for some reason, often having to hold or press several times to get a response though left/right was fine.\r
Moving around was generally a bit of a chore, perhaps if it followed the cursor instead.
Pretty nice although it felt like it was easy to go infinite and just keep racking up points. Good job!
Nice to hear from you, Johan. It is a bit too easy and as I said, the generation of the level needs work. I already worked out a few bugs and am going to update this game for post-LD play. Still working on it, in other words.\r
\r
@De10ter: I will also tweak the controls, as I said, I rushed it out. They could use some work.
Cool perspective. I liked the setting a lot. With the addition of enemies ...err cable tidies? to block your progress and some snappier controls (movement felt a bit slow for me there) It'll add some more replayability. Good, solid entry into LD 23, Well done.
The idea is good but must be extended. The only problem I really had was that the moving left-right stopped in the middle, unlike the up-down movement, so you couldn't get over fast enough sometimes, and eventually I just picked a side and went up and down. It was also a bit hard to see when the stripped parts were coming, if they were above you because the sparks are on the top, or even more so below you because the lower wire is completely covered.
nice idea. maybe some curves?\r
left-right was slower than up-down, and you could leave the wire to the right.
Nice concept, enjoyed the music & could see it being fleshed out into something quite hypnotic with a bit more work.
Overall, a nice idea and a good start/nice small game. Sorry, I don't mean to sound rude, so first of all: respect and congrats for finishing a complete package :) just my suggestions: Controls need a little bit of improvement and maybe you could generate the levels in a way that it's possible to get a "perfect" score? You can also use the arrow keys if you like.

The goal of this (very simple and slightly buggy) game is to hit as many "dead" wires as possible. In keeping with the theme (Tiny World) I thought up an idea where you're inside this wire and you have to "repair" the little dead areas on the wires inside the larger wire… if you've ever taken a look inside one of those you'll understand. Not realistic or anything and it's not supposed to be! :D

I am SO glad I finished this. I learned so much making this game, even if it is a pretty simple game, and does have a few bugs. (Such as the random generation of the "dead" areas being a bit dodgy from time to time.)

I rushed it out to meet the deadline. There were a few things I wanted to add, such as lightning bolts that would kill you, working out the more minor bugs (of course) and adding a boost feature. And more GUI, a better menu, and a little intro animation explaining the point.
But oh well, it's still a "complete" game anyways. Perfectly playable and surprisingly… kind of fun IMO. I didn't expect to impress anyone with this, just learn more myself and be more motivated this time around after giving up during LD22.

Anyway, enjoy. I'm glad I'm finally done so I can start playing all these awesome games I've been seeing people post WIPs of the past two days. This has been a great Ludum Dare for me, and from what I hear from friends and other devs, it was for them too.
See ya!

Wirepair"}
