Materia by Tempest

Materia was created in 24 hours by Nick Breslin (http://www.etiquettestudio.com), @EtiquetteStudio

Objective
----------------------------------------------------
Collect as many points as you can by clicking cubes without destabilizing the materia and causing it to explode.

Progress
----------------------------------------------------
Each 100 points per level to move on. Earning extra points on earlier levels can make up for slower progress on more difficult levels.

Cube Types
----------------------------------------------------
White - Cheap and easy to collect.
Orange - Worth more than white.
Red - Most valuable, but also reduces stability.
Pink/Purple - Very unstable, but recharges energy.

Misc
----------------------------------------------------
Clicking cubes costs energy, which does recharge slowly.

Use The Arrow Keys or Right-Click+Drag (doesn't work on Web) to Rotate the Materia.

Looks interesting, but unfortunately there is no linux player for unity :(

Nice puzzle. It's not obvious that you've finished a level.

This is a cool idea. It just needs to be balanced a bit to prevent players from clicking straight to the center for the red materia.

@mikolalysenko, I wish Unity would build to Linux. :( I think Chrome for Linux is the closest to having support for the Unity plugin.

@Wyzfen - Thanks! Yes, you need to get more feedback both when you've earned enough points, and when there aren't any more points left to be earned on the level.

@CappaGames - Thanks! Yes, that is a design issue. As the levels increase, so does the likelihood of Volatile materia. At about level 10, it starts getting more difficult to simply go for the core without running into 2-3 Volatile.

Great!! Easy levels, but nearly impossible to reach the ted materia without make everything explode. Wish there was an option to zoom in... This got quite eye-destroying. But very cool! I also always liked voxel engines.

@TSJ666 - Thanks! Zooming is actually a pretty easy thing to add, and I will be looking into that in a future update.

So here I was playing this rather interesting not-quite space-mining-y materia-collecting game and having a fun 'ol time. Then I decided to turn on "automatic" collection mode just out of curiosity. Clicked a few times, and suddenly it crashed.

I can't get it to happen again, but for what it's worth it was around level 16ish, and I know I had clicked on a pink block. Also, was playing it through the web version on IE. Ew, IE.

I was moderately confused when I saw I had enough points to skip four levels, though. It should probably be a bit more obvious about when you have enough points.

Nice puzzler! I like the minimalistic approach.

nice concept! Pretty uncommon. A bit of sounds and music would have made it better :)

Ok i crashed while loading lvl 20

and also the loading of lvl 20 takes more than a minute!

@Azurenimbus - Thanks!

@iximeow - I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm sorry you encountered that issue. I'll take a look into it and see if I can reproduce the error. Yes, the messaging over the points/next level could really use some improvement.

@Matthias_zarzecki - Thanks!

@Shifty - Thanks! I agree, in a future update. Music and sound was just too much for what little time I had.

@Ouuo - Thanks for playing. I (regretfully) didn't test up that high. I can imagine it takes a long time to load! Sorry about that. That is a LOT of cubes!

Yea, I got to level 12 before things started chugging, and then crashed. I apologize, but expect the web player to be a but unstable at that point.
