Get Yo' Baby Swole by Cosrnos

[raw]
made by Cosrnos for LD35 (JAM)
Alright listen up bro. You're going nowhere in life. You gotta get your shit together and I got the perfect way to do it. You gotta enter the swole baby market as a personal baby trainer. Get those babies swole and make some mad bank dude.

----

We interpreted the theme loosely and thought of body building as a form of shape shifting.

Without a dedicated artist we had to make do with the graphics :/

UPDATE 4-24-2016 - I just noticed our final build failed to deploy so the last week you've been playing an early demo of the game. I went ahead and triggered a rebuild. I'm not gonna count this as extra work after the deadline since all commits still happened before the deadline, we're just dealing with a bad server c:

Fun idea! The humor is great, but some of the text goes on too long. It would be nice if there were more to it than just clicking. Also, I kept missing the tournaments clicking through the training.

So this game immediately struck me as hilarious (mainly because I have several body-builders in my family) but I really think it would have benefited from some sort of graphics. More than anything I wanted to see my swole baby that I trained. If you had that, and made them out of the park ridiculous I really think this could work.

Just read in the description about the dedicated artist - I get that. All in all though you still made a game for LD, so that's awesome.

It had a very fun vibe, but I think some graphics or some indicator of where you are in baby space/muscle space might be useful.

Yeah, we would have loved to have graphical indicators of your baby's swoleness. Unfortunately neither of us are artists, and we could only squeeze two images out of our friends who have any artistic abilities.

Very funny idea. I was afraid the gameplay would be very lacking but in the end having to alternate between stats brought a bit more depth.

Texts were a bit long and maybe having more varying venues of progrss would have been nice.

Games like this aren't really my style, but that being said, I enjoyed it. It's pretty funny, too.

Hilarious concept, kept me entertained to the very end. I loved all the flavor you've added to it, with the writing and baby sounds to really sell how ridiculous this game is. Awesome game!

Very cool. I got a little more obsessed with a fake muscly internet baby than I had planned to today.

Somehow I found myself caring some about the outcome of this game. Maybe I should just leave it at that.
