Neat gameplay mechanic. Didn't really understand how to match the shapes at first, but it was fun once I did.

Cool music also :)

My best score was 38.

P.S: Not sure if it's intentional (shapeshifting?) or if it's a font issue, but when hovering over the main menu buttons, the font changes.

Nice idea. It's a pretty hard game, my best highscore was 5. It's getting fast pretty quick, could be a bit slower to be able to reach higher scores earlier :-)

Fits the theme very well. Its not too intuitive at start. Keep the project on.

Very nice! Finicky with keyboard arrows, but to be honest that made succeeding feel even more satisfying. The music wasn't really my jam but I loved the visuals and gameplay. High-score 21!

I really like the presentation!
I found it hard to start with, but once I got it there's a cool flow.
It gets fast a little too quickly, and I end up fat thumbing around 20

The controls feel really weird, having to push right or left to get a shape that points up. I wish you had time for a tutorial, cause it took me a while before I could get a single match. But after several attempts and finally learning what I was supposed to do to get a shape to match, I got a high score of 3.

Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description

Fantastic entry! Difficult to figure out at first but addictive once you do.

28! It took me a while to understand how things work too, a short in-game tutorial could have helped. Otherwise it's a good idea implemented & balanced very well, the difficulty ramps up pretty nicely.

Overall the game is pretty polished, graphics-wise I would have suggested to fill the screen a bit more with animated stuff or something ; a cheap trick could have been to just tint the passed shapes instead of making them disappear.

But it's just a minor nitpick, overall is a solid entry, and probably a more accessible one than the Temple was ;) Good job!

This game was interesting. I feel like this mechanic would work well in a mobile app. It was confusing at first, but once I figured it out it was fun!

I kept dieing in the game, creating the shape was too random for me. Restarting should had been instant in a game like this.

Interesting game. Sometimes it's a bit annoying pressing up+down/left+right at the same time, but that might just be a personal thing for me.
I like the music and the graphics are minimalistic, but nice.
Overal a fun and nice game.

I didn't like the larger shapes that required w key presses at a time to reach, but I thought the game was well polished and really fun, if a bit hard. My best score was 22.

Cool idea for a shapeshifting game! It took me like a dozen times to get my score past 10 but I started to get the hang of it! Nice work!!

This is a fun game that is difficult to master, the controls are a bit unusual to get used to, but the concept works. Nice entry! Check out my entry, we had similar ideas.

I really like this one.
The idea is pretty interesting.
The design is nice despite being minimalistic. It's very well polished. I especially liked shape shifting animations.
Audio was good too.

But of course, there is a room for improvement.
I personally would like to see more "juice" in the game. Maybe, start the game with calm music and slow speed, and then gradually increase the speed (more notable than now) while making the music more energetic and complex and making background more flashy and fancy.

Overall, great job!

This is really cool, though I felt like I was fighting against the controls a bit (something which my entry suffers from as well).

I found my self trying to correct mistakes with the arrow keys, having to reset felt awkward if I accidentally pressed up, and just wanted to shift back down. It seemed like I should be able to press down to undo an up-shift.

This is really fun though. With minor tweaks to the controls, I could see myself sinking a lot of time trying to get a highscore in this.

Very clever concept, although the game works much better with the tutorial. I like the smooth transitions between shapes and the glowing as well.

The first time I tried the music didn't load. Not sure if that's a glitch. Either way, once you figure out the mechanic it's a ton of fun! I got to 22.

Thanks everyone! This compo has been great fun and the fact that so many of you have persevered with the game despite the unclear controls makes it even better! See you next time - Rob

It took be awhile to get the hang of the mechanic, but it is really cool. Very original arcade game.
I'm too ashamed to say my final score though.
