Crysthurl by Broxter

[raw]
made by Broxter for LD23 (COMPO)
A very simple platformer where the protagonist has to throw blocks/crates to smash a white hexagon, which is meant to represent a crystal.

You must build towers, avoid spikes, commit suicide and... jump, to progress.

After a couple of failed attempts, this is my first finished game for Ludum Dare. So, although it's not the best game ever, I'm still pretty happy.

Made with FlashPunk (FlashDevelop), PXTone, Fireworks and Paint.

Fun game. I like the minimalistic graphics. It wasn't as intuitive as I'd hope for, but nice job for 48 hours!

The mechanics were interesting and throwing was fun! It was easy at times to get stuck inside of a block or have some other weird collision. Jumping off a cliff to get more blocks is great, my only complaint being that the new you spawns fairly slowly.

Great game. The puzzles were simple but enjoyable. A couple bugs with getting the player or block stuck, but other than that it's great.

Fun game with graphics that suited the game well. It was fun, and not generic at all.

Lovely style. The mechanics were really interesting albeit a bit strange (why does suicide grant you a new block? xD) but it worked ^^
The only problem I had was throwing a block while it was 'inside' a wall, which would keep it stuck there :/

Why you had to make a game so addictive? I mean, I probably saw some other games before of this kind of puzzle genre. But this one, I just had to finish it. Looks great and "cool", the sounds just work accordingly. As someone mentioned, they were some collision bugs, but luckily the restart key was close. Good job!

Very very nice entry! Cool mechanic, nice to see something different at play here! I eventually gave up, but I got through at least a dozen levels, I think :)

I wasn't too keen on the sounds, but the music was really great. Nice little puzzle mechanic, and very polished (like the zoom out on finish). Some of the puzzles were a little tough, but I really enjoyed it.
