A Minecraftesque Adventure a`  la Rogue by leedo

[raw]
made by leedo for LD23 (COMPO)
[unfinished]
I was short on time. So there is no way to use your stuff. No exit. No goal.

[description]
This is a tiny world.
The sky touch the ground, and no one can break through it.
We are trapped in.

[background]
You were thinking that these days, it was safe to teleport. Look like you were wrong. Welcome in a tiny world, where the sky touch the ground and no one go through it.
But it's your lucky day. The local elder tell you about the legendary emergency escape. No one know what it look like, but it should let you teleport somewhere else.

Be brave, explore this world, find the exit, and this will end as a story you'll tell to your children.

[what was the plan ?]
What is a tiny world ? The first thing I've think of is a snow globe. Small also bring to me talk about rogue-like from #ludumdare.
So the base was to add mining and crafting to a rogue-like interface. The interface is copied from Crawl Stone Soup, the only rogue-like that I've played. As you will see, mining and crafting haven't made it to the game. Lack of time/motivation.
But anyway, you don't make a world by yourself. There was plan for multiplayer. I'll try to polish a bit more this game after the LD.

I immediatly got hyped seeing an ascii roguelike. sadly you haven't put much game in it - but I'm really curious to see what you'll do with it (if you continue developing)

great basis for a game

I'm sorry bro, couldn't play it, altough I was willing to. In IE9 it didn't even open, and in ff it asked for my name, but i couldn't write anything...I don't know if I missed something, or it is just a bug.

Really interesting start. I like that ASCII style. You should work on it more and see what happens.

Difficult to rate as there isn't much here, but the idea sounds interesting. Hope you continue to work on it :)
