[raw]
made by yoklov for LD23 (JAM)
After crashing on an tiny alien planet, do you have what it takes to fix your ship and save your life?!

A point and click top down sci fi game written in ClojureScript, using HTML5.

Somewhat short, but c'est la vie. Hope you enjoy!

Works best in Google Chrome, but should work in any HTML5 ready browser (tested in firefox and chrome, let me know if you have any bugs).

ah finally some top-down adventuring. Very nicely done, the short fetch quest is fun enough. My only problem was that I initially thought the dark blue pools were walls.

If you added pathfinding to the control mechanic it might be very nice to build on.

I have to admit I got kind of excited about the game at first. I really like exploration. Unfortunately it was rather too short to get any good exploration in, but the feeling was there. Good start!

Great minimap, and I liked the feel of the planet, this would be a cool start for a bigger project

I know that not much really happened, but I totally loved it. You can set a mood, my friend. I would love to play an extended version.

Awesome! The map generation is pretty sick, and the gameplay is cool although a little repetitive. Good stuff!

Thanks for the review, your game IS quite similar to mine. I like that you got your map generation working, it works well. I like the mouse control, it's intuitive. Shame there is no sound. I had a look at the code, I have no idea how to read ClojureScript!

It's a very interesting engine. Obviously you run out of time to add more features, but it's a very good start (You should add music, first :) )

random world generation was AMAZING! the controls could have been better and the story was too short too, but it is very nice!

@mikelovesrobots3: Thanks a lot!! I'm glad you appreciated the mood I set, I tried to capture the stranded on another world feeling.

@Ranoka: Haha, it takes a bit of getting used to, I have the benefit of learning Scheme (another paren language) before anything else

@jfroco: yeah, music/sound is no. 1 on my agenda

@hungryg: (if you happen to look at this again): Controls could be better in what way? Add path finding? Manual (e.g. wasd or whatever) control?

Nice work! I was happy that the story was both brief enough and interesting enough that I could stick through to the end. I like your random world generation!

And, I'm happy to see a fellow Clojurescriptian!

ah, enjoyable little game! shame you ran out of time, some cool atmospheric music, and some more journal stuff/possible story would make this game superb. still very enjoyable as it is!

Nice navigation. On hi-res monitors, impossible to locate purple pixel.

Neat game. It would have been cool to see it a bit longer. I didn't find the radar the first time, not realizing it was right there by the ship... it would have been nice to have to begin with, as I almost quit after wandering aimlessly the first time.

The game was really boring, but I loved the randomly generated world. I collected the engine before the radar (I saw it first) and that kind of broke the game, but I was able to figure it out anyway. Could definitely have used some audio, but good job anyway!

It was too short and too easy but it shows alot potential and I would love to see more of it. Simon
