Tiny World Defense by Whoosy

made by Whoosy for LD23 (COMPO)
Defend your tiny world against asteroids by shooting them!

Simple but fun!

P.S. I didn't have the time to set up a web applet, so you'll have to double click the TinyWorldDefense.jar. Shouldn't be to much of a hassle... (On Linux, you have to open a terminal and type java -jar TinyWorldDefense.jar)

It's too hard at start. I have to move my hand from mouse to keyboard and boom!, lose. Both target and cursor move too fast.

Liked the multiple-patterned asteroids.

Collisions are a bit off, but it's a nice asteroids-meet-missile-commando kind of game. A genre I've not seen much around this time. Well played sir.

Needed a bit more polish! Good work overall, though.

Not too bad, I liked the graphics. I feel like the gameplay is very similar to several other games I've seen. There needs to be something to give it variety. It ran really choppy for me, about 2fps from the look of it. My computer is really slow, granted, but for what the game is, I would have expected better performance. I found it far too easy, maybe the difficulty depends on the framerate?

Having the same issue as the first comment. My guess would be that you don't take the frame time into account. I press start and less then a second later "Game Over!".

I liked the style of the graphics, it fits the theme well, it could have used a bit more to it though as it seemed pretty basic.

I found it ok, it's a little bit monotone, but it works really nice and the patterned planets are funky!

Needs more of a difficulty curve, I played for 5 minutes without getting hit. pwning asteroids all day, keeping earth safe.

Ok I guess. Pretty good but not particularly innovative and became tedious. Keep at it, you can only get better
