Amnesic prince by qosmos

[raw]
made by qosmos for LD23 (COMPO)
-> In this game, you are the Little prince, Saint Exupery's hero. One day, you don't remember anything.
This games is the quest of the Anmesic Prince through tiny planets, in order to make his memory come back.
-> Use arrow keys to move (and an extra key when you win but I'll not say much more).
-> Thank you for encouragements, "spiritual" help, and I hope I'll be able to take part in the next LD ;)

I love the cool graphics. Very good work! Could use some more sound effects, and perhaps less text. Overall, pretty great! Keep up the good work.

Nice job, I like what you did with a classic. As stated, there is a a lot of text, but as I said, nice job for 48 hours! Also, the resolution was a bit too big for my 15'' laptop screen, as I had to often scroll up and down to access my inventory.

Art style was great. I didn't mind the text, but could have used more puzzles. I died the first time, but felt like I had to see how it ended.

Solid effort. Nice graphics and smooth transition for switching planets. Puzzles could have been a little more challenging. I died when I touch the snake. Oh well!

I like the fact that the gravitational field is different for different planets and it affects your jump. Items kept disappearing from the inventory tho, so I couldn't progress much. Also the game wouldn't restart after I jumped off the second planet - I had to refresh my browser. Other than that I like the graphic style and the overall feel of the game.

Thank you for your reviews :)
I agree with you, I had some problems : I didn't use my full 48 hours, spent too mush time on graphics...
(This is my first LD...)
I know I have 2 majors problems :
-> some bugs, screen resolutions issues, due to my coding speed
-> a short scenario

So I'll try to take more time for my next LD.
Thank you again !

This game interested me since the first screens I seen, then it was really pleasant to follow the development.
Although those problems, the game is -really- well made :)

Um, I felt that I was too directed and I couldn't enjoy this game as I was expecting given the cool graphics that reminded me of the adventure games I used to play :-P

I don't think there is too much text, but some of it is unnecessary. As it is dying by the snake when all other planets are safe; it breaks the expectations the game had up until the moment.

Obviously, the theme fits perfectly although given the relative size of the prince and Earth, one could think that the theme is "giant people" rather than "tiny world" ;-)

Great idea to use "Le petit prince" for the Tiny World theme!

Super job for 48 hours! Really cool graphics, a neat story. I loved the king on the tiny planet. Consider making the screen smaller or resizable. My friend couldn't play very well at all on his 600px high netbook screen, and I could barely fit it all on my 14' laptop. Well done!

Really good. Although it was a little awkward using the arrow keys and the mouse... I think WASD would be a lot easier.

Good mood and good idea, but a little too slow for my taste. I liked the fake pixels :)

Nice take on Little Prince, but the inventory was very buggy :( I lost items a few times, items rotated and went out of my inventory etc.
