There once was an adorable bundle of dust, named Tiny. He lived his life in a dark place named Thohkowch. He was a happy little dust bunny - it was a warm home, comfortable and cozy.
One day he heard a sound... a horrible terrible whirring sound! It made his ears hurt and he could feel the ground shaking as whatever was causing it drew near!
A giant machine of some kind was at his door! It was going to eat him! It drew close then stopped suddenly. It's pilot had moved away, leaving the machine running. This was Tiny's chance.
He knew that he had to run for it - whatever this sound was didn't make him feel good at all, so he started to hop away...

Little did he know where he was heading...

Little had he thought the world was outside of Thohkowch...

Little hope he had for finding a new home...

This little dust bunny would leave home, only to uncover...

Tiny's World

Instructions:

You may use the Windows File, or Love2D File.
To run the Love2D file you must have Love2D installed ( http://love2d.org )
Double-click the LOVE file to run the game.

Your goal is to find a nice cozy home to live in.
Make your way through the game by hopping through obstacles.
You can jump on enemies, or maybe you could find something better...

Keep an eye out for the Kitten! She is hidden!

Unknown to Tiny, you may collect dust, and maybe even upgrade yourself in the process!

Controls:

To play, use the following keyboard keys.

Space - Hop
Shift - Sprint / Hop faster
Left + Right - Walk / Steer Tiny
Up + Down - Climb lattice
1 - 5 - Store item into inventory / Take item from inventory
V - Pick up item / Toss item (Toss while moving to throw)
C - Swing weapon

Advice:

Spiders are big, but they're clumsy with their legs. Jumping on them is tough but maybe there's an easier way to best them!
Watch out for water. For a creature made out of dust, it's quite easy for one to fall in and dissolve. Don't fret - you will be sent back to the start of that section
Tiny is not a very fit bunny - having lived all of his life in Thohkowch, he tires easily, so be careful!

Great work with the graphics and sound. Good mechanic in there with the dust. Got a bit frustrated with the jumping. Also you got a story! Always good.

The jump is not that polished and makes the game not fun for me. The background music was well done as are the graphics.

Very nice graphics and audio. The game genuiely looks and sounds very competent. But what on earth were you thinking with the jumping. The impossibility of jumping while moving forward is extremely frustrating and made me quit way sooner than I would've liked to :)

I would like to see this project continued and implemented with a less frustrating jumping mechanic.

I apologize for the terrible jumping mechanics. We ran rather short on time in the end and didn't end up with enough time for proper outside testing and user feedback. I will be posting a post-jam version later on with, hopefully, fixed jumping mechanics.

controls are a bit touchy. the music and graphics are pretty good, too. i'd be interested to see a later version of this!
