Macronauts, Go! by wgemigh

You may have to play for a bit before you get the thematic connection (or maybe you're very perceptive and you'll pick up on it right away!).

This is a Flash game written from scratch, so there are some rough edges (literally - the text is rendering poorly). I hope you enjoy it anyway!

During your first play through, you'll get a tutorial. Just click to go through it. If you accidentally click through and miss it, reload the page to see it again.

This was actually really fun, once I figured out what to do. shame no audio though, but meh I didnt make audio for my game either. Well done! :)

You know, this could actually be very very good game. Very nice twist on classical burst bubble game, but why is it sooooo sloooooooooooooow? Clicking... then waiting approximately ten seconds before I'll get another turn... I gave up soon after "friend" showed up, just didn't have patience for it :/

I really enjoyed this game. I could see myself playing it on my phone. You should polish it up and add sound.
I was able to get to the third round before I died.

I like the style of the graphics a lot, but it seemed like the gameplay was a little slow; if I cleared a lot, I would have to wait quite a while to get anything more than a group of 3 or 4.

i feel like you're on to something interesting, but it moves so slowly and it's very dry. the lack of audio doesn't help.

I wish the game went faster. I'm spending 90% of my time waiting for the animations to happen :(

Also, I don't understand how blue works :/ does it deal way more damage with more matching blocks?

Thanks for the feedback! I rushed and approximated how long a turn should take and apparently guessed way high. Sorry for that!

That's right, nornagon. Blue does about three times more damage than Red with a full grid but does less earlier. The break-even point is about 10 blocks (probably too high... balancing is hard!)

This game was fun! Unfortunately it froze up after a while.
There is too much time spent waiting for your turn, and there doesn't seem to be anything happening at all for a lot of it.

The game could be sped up a bit, but other than that it's pretty fun.

I thought it was a clever take on the "Sega Swirl"-type game (I wish I knew the proper term for such - Sega Swirl is simply the first I played!). Very reminiscent of Puzzle Quest in execution. But the lack of sound and slow gameplay really killed it for me. I'd love to see a version with sound that runs at a decent speed, though.

(Also: these three are photons, correct? And the boss is a hydrogen atom?)

Great game, I'm still trying to beat it. I think it would be nice to get some kind of merit bonus or power-up somehow so the result isn't quite as random.
Excellent work.

Cool concept, I just wish the gameplay moved faster. Perhaps making it more obvious whose turn it was would also make it easier to allow the user to just click to skip ahead to their turn.
