Moonmen: Journey to the Giant World by Daisuke909

[raw]
made by Daisuke909 for LD23 (COMPO)
A simple, easy platformer with a fairy tale-ish plot. Version 1.1 should fix the falling off screen bugs. Remember to read "how to play" since I'm way too lazy to just write the controls here! I've tried making a version that I think would be mac compatible, but the build experienced so many inexplicable bugs that I don't think I'll have anything for mac users in the near future.

I know it says the mineral behaves erratically on the ground, but sometimes it disappears. I liked the launch at the end. :)

Nice job! I was almost at 100 when I got pushed off the bottom-right corner of the screen on the Dino boss. It was very sad :(

The jumping is a bit difficult; when you're standing next to a wall it won't let you. Otherwise a fun game. During the ending, the smoke coming from the wrecked craft was a nice touch.

I Got stuck in the intro texts, I had to pause and unpause the game twice to get through. Then I got stuck at the bottom left corner in the big bird bossfight. I didn't feel like restarting, this is all quite buggy.

Supremely difficult (or I just suck), I couldn't get past the first bird boss at all.

Beat both bosses, got 100/100 little tetrominoes, and couldn't figure out how to board the ship... you should make that a little more obvious, ze?

Fun little platformer. You can't jump if you're moving against a wall, but it seemed easy to control otherwise. Bullets might be moving a little too fast to really dodge effectively. I liked the little ditty at the end after the rocket launches.

There's nothing about this game i didn't like! It was a nice interpretation of the theme, cute graphics and fitting sound! Easy controls, simple and addictive gameplay, I went and fought the dinosaur boss and managed to kill it with 1 health left XD! Excellent Job!

Very funny! It remembers old school, NES or ATARI, I don't know exactly.

It seems to run really, really fast. Also I fought some giant bird and then it just ends?

Fun game. Physics were a bit broken though.

Bosses are really hard (I'm not sure they have a winning strategy). But it is a nice complete game :-) Well done!

Nice work! It sort of feels like a complete game, with the intro story and the ending etc, which is very impressive for a 48h game. The game ran very smoothly. There were some quirks with the controls, but overall it worked just fine. The graphics and the sound was also good. It was kind of difficult to come up with a good strategy for the red boss tho since it was so hard to avoid him. The fire and smoke effects during the ending really stood out in a cool way.
