$ales by Sanguine
$ales is a game where you are a traveling salesman, trying to earn money by buying and selling goods. You travel across the Earth in the hope of making profit with your trading.
Make sure you play with audio, it makes the game way more clear.
Don't be afraid to write down where you can get goods cheaply and where you can sell them for a lot afterwards.
If you encounter any bugs, please let me know.
I want to thank everyone that makes Ludum Dare possible, because Ludum Dare is great!

I actually think it's a good idea, I like trading simulations, but it needs more polishing to be really fun.
The voice acting adds a lot of character. :)
It'd be nice to see/know of all the markets available without exploring/using up money.
Also, as a Brit, I approve of your attempt at a British accent.
Probably the "Ports Of Call" named before :)
Should there a game over if you have no money at all while traveling?
Anyway, great job!
Ahem, it was pretty simple, however I almost died in the pacific since I didn't know the map didn't scroll over to the US!
As for what you'd asked me on my game? Nope, Plato didn't even come to mind. It was just an idea when I was heading to my car to get a soda "What's this? A little spark of thought in the dark?" and it grew from there.
Lol, awesome game -- I loved the sounds. There is one very big bug, that if you go broke on the road, nothing happens -- ideally, in the beginning of the game, you find something to buy, buy it until you have no more money, then walk around checking the prices everywhere. A game over screen would prevent that.
But thanks for the game!! And the mulagi!
Your game is NP-hard!! =O
(sorry, had to say that... xD)
About the game... interesting idea. ^^
And the audio is really nice! (giving instructions through it... also I liked the music)
