It is very smart and combines sort of basebuilding with action elements. Unfortunately the action itself is not quite as fun. I like the building mechanic between rounds, although after a while just pumping up the damage\/multishot seems to do the trick. As much as I was trying to beat the waves of enemies, I was also trying to protect the structure I was building (a kind of bunker).
