I had a lot of fun making it. Also I was able to fix the bug you found Dark before submitting the final version.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I focused too much on the level art and didn't have time to add a win condition so currently there is no real point to catching\/popping all the bubbles. I plan to make a slightly more polished version this week with some of those more basic gameplay features once I figure out the necessary scripts to make it work."},{"author_name":"machinas","author_uid":"2925","time":"Apr 24, 2012 @ 6:27am","epoch":1335248520,"text":"i'm impressed you made that whole background scene. good environment and a nice game for kids. would be great with some feedback on collection progress, goal, etc. Nice job"},{"author_name":"kato9","author_uid":"5821","time":"Apr 25, 2012 @ 4:22pm","epoch":1335370620,"text":"Nice game, it had a very relaxing, peaceful feel to it. The mouse look was very jumpy for me but I was still able to play. It was fun to explore around - and I even met another grasshoppper!\r<br\/>\r<br\/>It seems like you used a lot of outside resources for this game - since it's a jam entry I suppose that's ok, but next LD I hope you'll try use more original work!"},{"author_name":"olkeencole","author_uid":"10982","time":"Apr 25, 2012 @ 9:36pm","epoch":1335389460,"text":"The artwork looks great. I'm jealous! I liked how the game starts in the confines of the bottleneck looking out over the lush garden. When you are in the garden, the world becomes much bigger than you at first imagine, not only with the garden but also looking out into the lab as well. It was fun just jumping and looking around. I look forward to a fuller development of this project."},{"author_name":"Shigor","author_uid":"5242","time":"May 5, 2012 @ 8:22pm","epoch":1336249020,"text":"Visually looks very good (well, using finished assets saves a lot of time :), but it's put together nicely and with music it creates nice mood (about the only thing I disliked was ugly grasshopper's antenaes, because of the contrast with very nice looking level.\r<br\/>Not much of a game, but interesting experience."},{"author_name":"Christina Antoinette Neofotistou","author_uid":"13139","time":"May 12, 2012 @ 10:15pm","epoch":1336860600,"text":"Why are the graphics so awesome!!!!! :) You hit the nail on the head with the theme and graphics, never mind that there's no real goal :)"},{"author_name":"Codexus","author_uid":"187","time":"May 13, 2012 @ 9:34am","epoch":1336901340,"text":"Very nice graphics and mood."}],"images":["ld23\/12894-89584a1e1f3be76929f95d0e7bb9798a.jpg","ld23\/12894-c5240befa378a55e9135cf6837adb9f8.jpg","ld23\/12894-f81a04b0031b63832791192bae7319c4.jpg","ld23\/12894-8fa0321667ef2d47a594c00d72e7f8dd.jpg","ld23\/12894-2d13d5cefe6dffd303c60c67e4a125e5.jpg"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/dl.dropbox.com\/u\/7329888\/LudumDare23-TinyWorld\/CricketInABottle-LudumDare23-Barcode-Windows.zip","text":"Windows"},{"url":"http:\/\/dl.dropbox.com\/u\/7329888\/LudumDare23-TinyWorld\/CricketInABottle-LudumDare23-Barcode.app.zip","text":"OS\/X"},{"url":"http:\/\/dl.dropbox.com\/u\/7329888\/LudumDare23-TinyWorld\/CricketInABottle-Barcode.html","text":"Web"},{"url":"http:\/\/dl.dropbox.com\/u\/7329888\/LudumDare23-TinyWorld\/LudumDare23-TinyWorld-CricketInABottle-Barcode.unitypackage","text":"Source"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"31310","g_author":"12894","g_event":"LD23","g_eventkey":"10","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"31340","g_title":"Cricket in a Bottle","g_status":"UCHK1","g_place":"146","g_commentcount":"9","g_site2_node_id":"0","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":[],"node":null,"orig_images":["http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/12894-shot0.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/12894-shot1.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/12894-shot2.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/12894-shot3.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg","http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/compo2\/\/123793\/12894-shot4.jpg-eq-900-500.jpg"],"text":"You are a Cricket trapped in Bottle.\r\nExplore your TINY WORLD and find all the nectar.\r\n\r\nCONTROLS:\r\n\r\nWASD to Move\r\nSPACE to Jump\r\nHOLD SPACE to Jump higher\r\n\r\nCREDITS:\r\n\r\n-Created by Ian M Stead a.k.a. barcode in Unity 3.5\r\n-Music by Kevin Macleod www.incompetech.com \r\n-Sounds from www.freesounds.org\r\n-Uses a mix of Unity models and textures and original ones that I created.\r\n-Some textures from www.cgtextures.net\r\n\r\nNOTES:\r\n\r\nThis was my first Ludum Dare and game jam using Unity!
