Dark and Alone by Keehan12

[raw]
made by Keehan12 for LD22 (COMPO)
This little game I built in 1 Day turned out pretty good I Think, It is based on a boy that is lost and needs to find his way back home.. .But it is dark outside, and the Monsters are out! So watch out and have a safe trip home.

To gain an extra life, you must collect Kittens!!

Controls:
A,D to Move
Space to Jump
Click to Interact with Objects

The game was a little short because I only had 1 day to make it and I was on my Own, and thats also the reason I couldnt add sound (and I have no idea how to create sounds).

Love the atmosphere and feel, only comment is that it might benefit from allowing 'W' to be used as jump as well as the space bar.

This has some awesome level design and a great art style. I find the control layout hard to manage, though. It's like my left hand has to splay everywhere to jump and move at the same time while my other hand is required to operate the mouse so it can't take over the jump duties.

A solid platformer. No sound, but decent minimalistic graphics.

I liked the graphics a lot, but I dislike the bug on level 2, if you die you get a bit stuck in the ceiling on respawn.
It was too silent for my liking.

Very cool game, loved the style of it. Especially loved the simple diversity of the enemies, with some sitting on chairs and stuff, and the nice derelict look to all the levels.

Very good game! I agree with Claw, no need to use spacebar, make it simple : AWD or the arrows. Don't know why I had to use the mouse either..only for ONE click.
I enjoyed the fact that enemies weren't all trying to kill me, I enjoyed the graphics and the ambient.

Definitively, the style is very good. The controls are a bit weird and the player is too sensitive; I just tried to move a little further to the right, but I fell off...

Yeah the control setup is weird, and it's a bit awkward to play. The visual style works, though. It could certainly use some audio, but it seems like you did get a decent amount of stuff done in 48 hours.

Fun little game, but it feels weird without audio. All and all, it is nice to see a good "Multimedia Fusion" game in ld :D

Wow. Lots of stuff for one day. Unfortunately I suffered from weird control mapping and glitchy/picky collisions and sliding movement. A bit too hard to play, but not fairly challenging.
