Into the Dark for You by incobalt
Coded in C++ using Allegro.
SFXR used for Sound Effects.
AutoTracker-C + OpenMPT for music.
Tile Studio for tiles and map generation.
Into the Dark for You was made (mostly) in about 20 hours with 8 hours of time spent on the silly audio stuff.
This is my first entry for a Ludum Dare, and I'm quite happy with myself, even if it doesn't garner much in voting :)

@nate427 Yeah, I was worried about how punishing it was for the player, which was why I put in the light things. If I'd not have spent so much time messing with the sound stuff, then I would have tackled with some balance issues like that.
Nice work!
Unfortunately, the darkness moments create loads of frustration and made me rage-quit. Maybe if the torches stayed on for longer, or there were some clues of where to go it'll make it more fun.
@Manoloko I know, it's the worst part of the game. I really should have done something like what nate427 said. The torches were a last minute addition, because I thought the game was too punishing.
