KIitty by Wiering

Help the lonely kitten find it's way back to home.

This game only has one level, and unfortunately there was no time for character animation.

It's a generic, audio-less platformer with okay graphics. My mood while playing this was: bored. It fit the theme really well though ;)

Solid, but lacking. Good effort.

>_< fell off the right side of the map and got stuck under the level.

I liked the art style, but was disappointed with the all effort put into the background compared to like two frames of tail animation for the kitty.

I read that you had a lot of trouble with the theme, but there's a lot of elements that could have be played on: having other kittens as checkpoints and a depleting loneliness meter, having to ask "are you my friend?" to various characters who chase you away except for the last, etc.

Nevertheless, solid work given your programming difficulties and design woes.

It's the Ice Skating kitty!!! Wheee!

Well, you have a talent for 2D art. You should sit and do a postmortem, to find out what you can do better next LD to make a game worth your pixely talents :-)

Nice graphics but that's it. Can't jump with Chrome/HTML5. Can't move with Chrome/Flash. Managed to move with Windows exe but looks like entering this cathouse just freezes the game, dunno if something was supposed to happen here. Oh and I see you were as inspired as me by the theme as your game features a lonely kitty, just like mine, and probably 500 others :P

some music would have been nice, otherwise nice art.

Platforming felt floaty/slidy, but otherwise worked well. Needs more to it to be fun, though.

Nice visuals. that was one lonely cat! Some objective would have really helped it be more interesting .. I'd also be interested in a post-mortem about how well Haxe worked for cross-platform dev.

the background tilesets are nice, but unfortunately there's not much more to it then that. WARNING: there's a runaway infinite loop in the html5 version that WILL lock up and kill the tab it runs in.

Very easy and not very innovative platformer. But it works well, and that's something.

More of a platform engine demo than a game Im afraid. Solid controls and collision and nice graphics but needs player animation and an actual goal :)

Nice graphics! You gotta plan better next time, it's key in this kind of competitions.

jumping's broken in html5 version, you can jump after falling from a ledge, and i used that to jump out of the level, also, it KINDA seems to wrap vertically, but the view doesn't scroll with it :P i was able to complete the game after jumping off the ledge
graphics were pretty nice though

Its possible to walk outside the map and get stuck :-( Graphics are very nice. HTML5 ( Chrome ) version didn't let me jump but the flash version worked nicely . Good effort for completing but could have done with some more features for interest.

The graphics are fairly nice, but sadly there's not really much else to say. There's just not enough there.

This looks great in screenshots but the lack of animation ruins the aesthetics, imo.
