Lonesome Cowboy by jlnr

[raw]
made by jlnr for LD22 (COMPO)
Maybe going to re-submit under the Jam, if possible. I wasted so much time and didn't get to the core of this experiment (smart level generation).

Apart from sometimes being adjacent to coyotes I couldn't avoid, the level generation wasn't too bad really, but I wasn't sure they were always completable. Missed having some sound effects, but otherwise was a really fun little game that required a bit of planning! Presumably inspired by DROD, but mixing it up a bit.

I quite enjoyed this - really liked the animated turn transitions.

Nice work! I have never seen anything like that before. It was fun to play although levels could be generated better (as you mention).

A lot of these games with SOURCE ONLY have very low play rates. I can't run this, either.

heh Ruby, sorry no idea how to make this run, tried installing ruby on Ubuntu, but barfs up "./main.rb:1:in `require': no such file to load -- rubygems (LoadError)
from ./main.rb:1"

Guess im trying to run it the wrong way but I dont have time to try and figgure it out, instructions would be handy.

You need to make it easy for people to play your game, supplying source files without even instructions on how to run them means I won't be able to play or rate this one.

Sorry guys, I left the country after the compo deadline and then my computer died when I arrived. I'll provide EXE and app next time.

Thanks for the feedback!
